" BEAUTIFUL QUEEN ANNE VICTORIAN BED AND BREAKFAST ON FIFTY ACRES "

Originally built in 1900, the Dane Emerson House Bed and breakfast is a beautiful Queen Anne Victorian.

We've worked hard to preserve the inn's original character, with warm hardwood trim, leaded glass windows, nearly ten foot ceilings, and thick, well insulated walls. Restoration of existing materials, including re-use where possible, have helped us retain the feel of this wonderful turn of the century architecture.

The Dane Emerson House Bed & Breakfast was originally home to three children of the Snyder Family, original owners of the property. Margaret, Hattie and Della ran a farm here for a number of years, and lived there with their younger brother, an officer during the Spanish American War, until they all pased away.

The property was restored in the seventies by the Mara family, who sold it to the current owners in 2006. The inn grounds include fifty five acres of land, part of Inlet Valley Creek, and several other trout streams.

We run Dane Emerson House as a bed and breakfast, and can host weddinggs, commitment ceremonies, and other events on our beautiful lawns.

We serve a full breakfast to our guests every morning, and and we offer drinks and snacks in the dining room all day and night.

We offer five elegantly appointed guest rooms:

Blue Room: a large room with a king-sized bed, writing desk, private bath, and views of the barn and grounds.

Far East Room: Decorated in rich colors with a beautiful arabian rug, this room features a queen-sized bed, writing desk, and a private bath.

La Mer Room: Cozy, light and airy room, with a beautiful queen-sized sleigh bed and private bath.

Manor Room: Decorated in warm earthtones, the Manor Room has a four poster, king-sized bed and prvate bath with a jacuzi tub.

Map Room: Our fifth room, the elegantly decorated Map Room, features a king-sized canopy bed, sitting area, and private bathroom.

Each of our rooms has wifi internet access, a flat screen TV with DVD player and cable television channels, and air conditioning.

We're close to Seneca Lake, Cayuga and Ithaca - come stay with us the next time your travels bring you to the Newfield area!

Room rates are based on single or double occupancy. Prices do not include 11% room tax. A portion of this tax benefits local tourism.

POLICIES

Reservations:
Reservations will be considered complete once the deposit is received. For this reason, all deposits must be received no later than 10 days after reservation request has been confirmed by the innkeeper.

Deposit:
The innkeeper will confirm all reservation requests by emailing or phoning you. At that time, a deposit of 50% is necessary.

Cancellation:
XEvery effort is made to accommodate guests. Hotel chains can absorb the average cancellation with little effort – the Innkeeper cannot. For this reason, the cancellation policy is strictly adhered to. Cancellations must be made 14 days prior to arrival. Special events wherein the entire house is rented – i.e. for wedding receptions, etc. – require a 60 day notice in writing by letter or email.
Should it be necessary for a guest to depart earlier than the confirmed departure date, guest will be responsible for the full amount of the original confirmed stay, unless the room is re-booked for all nights. Every effort will be made to re-book the room, and confirmation will be made with the original guest. Any refund will be made at that time.

3pm to 8pm
Special arrangements can be made in advance with the Innkeeper should your schedule require flexibility. Every effort will be made to accommodate guest requests.

Check-Out:
No later than 11am
