A scenic, secluded idyll on the Hudson River, in New York's Adirondack Mountains close to Lake George and just an hour from Albany, NY.

This is a great place for hiking, skiing, bird watching, biking, canoeing, antiquing, sightseeing and history, or just plain indolence!

At Country Road Lodge, an Adirondack Bed and Breakfast, you'll awaken to the aromas of freshly brewed coffee and muffins baking in the oven. Your choice of full country breakfasts, including homemade bread, is served between 7:30 and 9 am. Watch the birds from the breakfast table or as you stroll the grounds or wooded trails.

Our 35 acres are bordered by extensive state forest lands. Hiking/xc ski trails start at the Lodge, or nearby trailheads in the Lake George area of the southeastern Adirondacks. Explore early American history at forts, battlefields and museums. Spend an hour or a day cruising magnificent Lake George.

Check out the antique shops in Warrensburg, an historic mill town on the Schroon River. Return to the lodge, kick off your shoes in our relaxed, congenial ambience before dinner at one of many fine restaurants nearby.

The Bedrooms at Country Road Lodge Bed and Breakfast

All rooms overlook the Hudson River and the surrounding forested foothills of the Adirondacks. They have individually controlled heat and air conditioning. There are no TVs. (There is no television reception on the property.) The entire house is pet-free. Smoking is permitted on the porch and the grounds only.

The Adirondack Room - Touches of Adirondack "rustic" highlight the decor of this room, which contains a queens size bed and one or two twin-size beds. The Adirondack Room is suitable for up to four people. Private bath.

The Observatory - Enjoy a panoramic view of the river and the mountains beyond. Contains a queen- and twin-sized bed, suitable for up to three people. Private bath.

The Bird Room - The decor reminds you to listen for the many birds that inhabit the grounds of Country Road Lodge. This room contains two twins or a king and is suitable for one or two people.

The Flower Room - The works of local artists enhance the decor of this room, which contains a queen-size bed, suitable for one or two people.

Please do not bring pets or electronic-sounding games. (The house is entirely smoke and pet free.)
