Although we are more bed and breakfast than hotel, this is not the kind of place where you will find cutesy decor and interfering hosts. Country Inn the City is a grouping of four individually decorated apartments for those seeking a high quality yet supremely affordable alternative to hotels. The apartments themselves are located in an extensively renovated, landmarked 1891 limestone townhouse in the heart of New York City's beautiful Upper West Side. (If you missed us on "Seinfeld" watch out for us on the re-runs).
All our studio apartments feature approximately 550 sq. feet of living space (far more than your average NYC hotel room); ten foot ceilings, one queen-sized bed, color TV, private bath/shower, well-equipped kitchenettes, air-conditioning, telephone/answering machines (w/free local calls), welcome food supplies (cereal, fresh gourmet coffee, teas, milk/half and half, fresh fruit), and sound proofing insulation.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our mattresses. All bedding is hypo-allergenic and dust-mite protected.
Please note that we have a maximum occupancy of 2 per apartment. (Apartments 4 and 5 have a sofa bed for non-couples).
3 night Minimum. Maximum of two per apartment. Non-couples can use sofa bed in apartments 4 or 5. Maid service every 3 to 4 days for long stays. Please note that we do not charge tax on bookings of 7 nights or more. Add 8.25% sales tax.

Payment is accepted in either cash, travelers checks, money order, or company check form. Credit cards not accepted.
Deposit:
A deposit is required at time of booking -- personal checks are accepted. The balance is due upon arrival in either cash/travelers checks.
Cancellation:
Cancellation policy is 30 days less $50 booking fee. (If we re-fill the apartment we will refund your money).
