Outside you'll find exquisite gardens and an impressive grove of cottonwoods and aspens surrounding the inn. Spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and the exquisite New Mexico sunsets abound. This Taos accommodation is ideally located for you to enjoy all of the incredible outdoor activities the area has to offer including hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, white water rafting, horseback riding, or skiing. And we are conveniently located to Taos Pueblo, the town of Taos, Taos Ski Valley, and the shops, museums, galleries and restaurants of the area. This is Taos lodging at its finest.
Inside you'll find uniquely decorated rooms designed for luxury and comfort. All have private baths, down pillows, cozy quilts or down comforters, and spectacular views. Room amenities include kiva fireplaces, log beam (viga) cealings, steam baths, jacuzzis, hot tub, wet bars, sky lights, and private entrances. Suites are available, and our inn lends itself to small groups traveling together. Your day will start with a delectable breakfast prepared fresh each morning, and when we can we utilize ingredients from our garden. You won't go away hungry from the Cottonwood Inn.
We have several dogs (Eva and Winston) and 17 chickens (Mimi, Bernard, Babette, Buffy, ...) wandering the property. The dogs are allowed to wander the common areas but are not allowed in the guest rooms. The chickens go where they wish."
The Cottonwood Inn has extensive gardens on its acre of land. Both of us are avid gardeners and we keep irrigation, insecticide and fertilizer use to a minimum. We also have extensive views. One directions finds you looking over the grazing sheep and horses, the other direction has you are looking straight up to the stunning Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Our gardens consist of native trees (cottonwood, aspen, pinon pine and western juniper), but we also have several lush and colorful perennial garden areas. Most of our plants are quite drought tolerant, however we do indulge in a few of the more water needy types.
Our common areas are very large and comfortable for sitting and reading, visiting or watching TV or one of the many video from our video library. The Inn also lends itself to small weddings and family reunions and we are happy to help facilitate wedding plans.
Rates and minimum stay requirements may vary with the seasons and holiday periods.

Deposits:
50% (100% during Christmas/New years period) is required to hold your reservation and must be received within 10 days of booking. A one night stay requires a deposit in full. While a personal check is preferred we do accept major credit cards.
Cancellations:
With at least 14 days notice (60 days during Christmas/New Years period) your deposit will be refunded less a 5% handling fee. With less notice of cancellation you will forfeit your deposit if we are unable to rebook your room. In order to avoid forfeiture, we strongly recommend that your purchase trip cancellation insurance.
