Welcome to the Cottages at Spring House Farm with secluded log cabins at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, North Carolina, on 92 acres of rolling woodlands.

Are you looking for a peaceful and secluded destination in a natural and private setting? The only "wild life" you will find here is turkeys, deer, bullfrogs and a multitude of songbirds. Your log cabin will be secluded at the end of your winding private drive in the lush forest. Sleep well in a handcrafted log bed, relax in the hot tub on your deck, and wake up to a kitchen already stocked with farm fresh eggs and fresh baked bread.

Our location near Asheville, Chimney Rock, Black Mountain and Lake Lure gives you countless options of attractions and outdoor activities in the Blue Ridge Mountains (if you want to leave your cabin). Other things to do include:

• Chimney Rock Park: A 26-story elevator or a network of trails takes you to breathtaking 75-mile views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

We are pro-ecology caretakers of the land. We created a wildlife sanctuary on Spring House Farm, and we used timber and stone from our land along with reclaimed antique lumber and materials to construct our log cabins. Eco Club International and The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) have recognized and listed the Cottages at Spring House Farm as a genuine eco-retreat. The recognition is based on ecological and sound conservation practices. We are very proud to be the first property in the United States listed by Eco Club International!

We hope to hear from you soon. We live in the 1826 Albertus Ledbetter House at the entrance to the farm (see photo above), so we are here every day if you need us. We'll be glad to give you a tour of our home, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. However, we will respect your privacy so you can retreat to your cabin and not see another person for your entire stay if you wish.
