Our Vancouver Island vacation rental cottage feels like it's miles away from the the city, everything you'll need is just twenty minutes away, and downtown Victoria is just forty minutes from here by car.
We offer wifi internet access, a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare and enjoy your meals whenever you want. The cottage also has its own private dock for your use - launch a kayak for a relaxing day on the water.
The master bedroom, on the upper level, has a king-size bed and great ocean views. Fall asleep while gazing at Vancouver Island's amazing night sky. Or slowly awaken to a stunning British Columbia sunrise.
A half-bathroom ensuite is available for your convenience.
The cottage's main floor includes a comfortable living area with cable television, DVD player, and a small library of movies, games, books, and magazines for guest use.
The dining area opens up to the deck - step out and enjoy the sweeping water views - you might even see birds flying below eye level!
Our second bedroom is tucked into a corner on the main floor, and includes a double bed. The kitchen and a full bathroom with shower/tub combo complete the main floor.
On the lower level, which has its access door, has a double pull-out sofabed. You'll also find laundry facilities on this floor, and a woodburning stove.
The Sooke area has many parks and trails, including the famous Galloping Goose Regional Trail System. The trails range from easy walks to more challenging hikes. They wind through beautiful forests, an at places overlook the ocean or lead to secluded coves and gorgeous lakes.
You can also rent a kayak or bicycles to explore the area, or take a wildlife tour or a fishing charter - some can pick you up at the cottage dock!
If you prefer to relax, just curl up with a good book, or head down to the waterfront with a pair of binoculars, where you can watch for heron, seal, eagle, otter, quail, hummingbird and other wildlife that frequent the property.
If you want to treat yourself to a meal - fresh baking, a delicious brunch, great pub food or fine dining - the region's wonderful restaurants offer all that and more.
We allow well-behaved adult dogs with responsible owners! Many of our guests have brought their canine friends with them.
