Welcome to Cindee's Southern Comfort Bed and Breakfast in the Uptown/Garden District area of New Orleans, Louisiana. Originally part of the Bouligny Plantation, Southern Comfort has been restored to reflect the vintage charm of old New Orleans LA.

From Cindee's New Orleans LA Bed and Breakfast, you are only 2 blocks from St. Charles Avenue and minutes to the New Orleans French Quarter, Morial Convention Center, Central Business District, D-Day Museum, the Louisiana Superdome, Tulane and Loyola Universities, the New Orleans Garden District and Audubon Zoo.

Being at Southern Comfort is a refreshing and renewing experience. In it’s thoughtfully renovated grandeur, Southern Comfort renewed the generous and warm hospitality of yesterday’s New Orleans. This old-style hospitality puts you at ease and restores the frayed edges of modern day bruskness. Here special attention is given to the moment.

Your Continental breakfast will be waiting for you when you arrive in the beautiful antique dining room with it’s expansive, old world table. The matching sideboard will be laden with freshly brewed coffee, juice, choices of cereal and fresh fruit, while by your place setting at the table will be a freshly baked good. You can chat casually at the table, relax quietly in comfort under the turn of the last century chandelier or take your coffee cup to the porch swing on the verandah to watch the wisteria grow or the table in the back patio garden to watch the butterflies over the lily pads. The message is comfort.

The sun dapples the soft, deep cushions of the oversized couch and the air moves softly under the expansive ceiling. You will find magazines and books waiting to be browsed with ease and contentment in the unhurried simple elegance of the period appointed sitting room. Sitting here you will have a view outside through the large windows, of the foyer with it’s expansive glass, oversized front door and a glimpse pass the columns into the dining room, all of which gives you a helmsview of the front of the house and the world outside.

Time will suspend for you when you are tucked away from the cares of the world under hanging vines and branches laden with foliage. The colorful garden is lush with tropical foliage native to Louisiana. Sweet Olive and Banana trees, Palms, Bird of Paradise and Ginger mingle the sights of shiny leaves and colorful flowers with the rich, fragrance scents of plants and fruit. The back patio garden was created to give you a spot to sit at the large table and sip cool drinks, watch nature’s endless activity or bury yourself in a fascinating novel. The message is "get away for a moment to restore your spirit and energy".
