Welcome to the Cherry Tree Lodge - we bought this beautiful home in large part because of its great views. The full splendour of what mother nature has to offer can be enjoyed by ourselves and visitors alike.
Cherry Tree Lodge is just 18 miles north of Edinburgh across the firth of Forth, in the beautiful Fife countryside.
At Cherry Tree Lodge, you get just that from nearly every window. When you are sitting in the sun room, you'll appreciate the majesty of the Ochil hills to the right, and, ahead to the left, undulating hills and pasture stretching as far as the eye can see. On a clear day you can even see the Wallace monument over in Stirling.
Cherry Tree Lodge was once a gamekeepers cottage. It's been renovated and extended to provide modern, comfortable accommodations while maintaining the historical character of the original building. Our home has a feeling of light and space and it enjoys an idyllic setting located at the end of a quiet farm road, surrounded by its own paddocks.
You'll find here a peaceful and tranquil space to enable you to let go of the "busy"-ness of life, recharge your batteries and nurture your soul. It's for that reason you won't find daily newspapers here or a television and we encourage guests to use their mobiles (if you can get a signal) in their rooms. A computer is on hand for guest use, if need be, and a telephone can be made available - just ask.
At Cherry Tree Lodge we have a passion for food. We love growing, harvesting, preparing, cooking and serving it. We aim for delicious, local, organic and sustainable - it's not always possible to get all four but that's our aim. Some say our hearty breakfast sustains them right through the day!
