Charles Street Inn, built in 1860, features 9 guestrooms, named for well-known past residents of Beacon Hill. Each room has a unique decor, filled with beautiful antique furniture, and historically accurate colors - you'll feel like you stepped back into the nineteenth century. All of our beautiful, historic fireplaces work - and we also offer jacuzzi bathtubsm mini fridges, cable televisions, video cassette recorders, cd players, heating and a/c control, and DSL internet in each room. Not sure where to eat or what to do for the day? We can also provide concierge service. We've taken great care to use period antiques - Second Empire/Victorian antiques that are similar to what the inn would have been furnished with originally. We used high quality fabrics on all of our furniture, and fine linens in every room. We've also decorated each room with unique works of art, including lithographs, etchings, and original oils. When it was first built, 94 Charles Street was a wonder of new technology - central heat and running water were incorporated, a rarity at the time. We continue this spirit of comfort and innovation with large whirlpool tubs, an elevator, in-room temperature control, and a full suite of electronic entertainment options. We also offer Crabtree and Evelyn bath products, gourmet coffee from Torrefazione, Nantucket Nectars, and Ferrero Rocher chocolate in the lobby. Come stay with is the next time you're in Boston - for business or pleasure.
