Come to Dahlonega and experience the warmth and ambiance of our mountain lodge, just over an hour north of Atlanta.

Near the entrance to the Appalachian Mountains in the heart North Georgia's Wine Country where the country's first Gold Rush occurred, our charming, rustic bed and breakfast is a quiet retreat from the bustle of the city. Try something different - spend the night in a yurt, mixing comfortable accommodations with the natural beauty of the area.

Cedar House Inn & Yurts is the ideal location to relax for a weekend - get away from the kids for a romantic escape, or celebrate your birthday or anniversary with us. We offer two two cozy rooms, with warm pine walls, queen beds, private bathrooms, and private entrances with quiet porches.

Our second floor suite has a simulated wood fireplace, where you can snuggle up with your partner.

If you're feeling a little more adventurous, why not try one of our two unique yurts, with canopied queen beds and simulated wood stoves have a wonderfully romantic ambiance. Sip a glass of wine on the private deck or snuggle up under the flannel sheets in the wintertime.

Our lodge features common area living and dining areas, long distance phone calls, a covered front porch to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, and a number of Adirondack chairs where you can watch the birds or read a good book.

There are steps up to both the inn and yurts, and our sidewalks/walkways are made of pea gravel and wood chips, which may be difficult for some people. And our bathrooms within the inn have a step up as well.

Out of respect to other guests, we ask that all guests keep noise to a minimum after 11 PM.

POLICIES

Reservations:
Reservations required Sunday through Thursday nights. Reservations recommended for Friday-Saturday evenings. Minimum stay may apply. Please iniquire.

Cancellation:
A 72 hour notice is required for cancellations to avoid a charge to your credit card for nights reserved. If we fill your accomodation your credit card will not be charged for the rate however a $25.00 administrative fee will be charged.

Check-In:
3:00-9:00 pm. Early check in's not permitted. (no exceptions). Let us know if you need a later check in.

Check-Out:
11:00 am. Late check outs not permitted (no exceptions).

Children:
Adults Only- Most of our guests tend to be away for an adventure or time without their own children. We do not have amenities for children. Our definition of a child is someone 17 years of age and under.

Pets:
Pets cannot be accommodated. We have a dog and cat but they are not permitted in the guest rooms or yurts. Pets cannot be left in guest cars overnight. Neighbors dogs and cats may roam the property at night which could cause a disturbance for all guests if pets are kept in the car.

Smoking:
No smoking is allowed inside the inn or yurts. Due to insurance requirements candles or open flames are not allowed in rooms and yurts. Cooking is not permitted in yurts

Parking:
The parking lot is small and cannot accommodate trailers or friends of guests. Gas guzzling Hummers not welcome. Only one car per guest please. Please do not have your friends visit since we cannot accommodate their cars.
