Guadalajara is the Pearl of the Occidente, the most traditional of Mexican cities, and the birthplace of mariachi and tequila. Guadalajara is known as the silicon valley of Mexico, too. Guadalajara is the capital of Jalisco, in the middle of the country on the Pacifc Coast. We're a great jumping-off point to many other popular destinations in Mexico, including Puerto Vallarta (4 hours) and Leon (Guanajuato, 3 hours). Casa Venezuela Bed & Breakfast offers guests luxury accomodations and a full breakfast every day in our dining room. Breakfast is served on a variety of different ceramic, earthenware, glassware, and pottery serviceware to enhance your dining experience. We also offer complimentary cocktails on the terrazza each evening. The house has two levels and five bedrooms, and has been completely remodeled and redecorated with original century-old tile in each bedroom. The main floor is covered in natural slate, and the b&b has 3 terrazzas and 2 luxurious gardens. Our rear terrazzas feature gurgling fountains and an escape from the bustling city life. There is a small chiminea on the terraza to keep you warm on chilly nights. Many of the furnishings were custom-made and purchased locally to show off the craftmanship of the artesans of Jalisco, Michoacan, and other regions in Mexico. There are also a number of oil paintings throughout our home, also crafted by area artists. Our bed and breakfast is also decorated with talavera, terracotta, stonework, wood carvings, metal-craft, and gold and silver leaf. We've carefully chosen all the items for the home to compliment its antique nature, while keeping your comfort in mind, and perserving the heritage of a casa antigua. Casa Venezuela Bed & Breakfast serves our guests a full breakfast every day from 8 am to 10 am, which can include eggs, mexican cheeses, pancakes, french toast, homemade granola, oatmeal, danish, yogurt, cereals, fresh seasonal fruits, juices, regional coffee, and a selection of imported/domestic teas. Breakfast may be served buffet-style when we have higher occupancy. We also offer coffee and tea throughout the day. Our cocktail hour is at 5:00 PM. Other amenties include: WiFi Internet Access and Cable Television. We have a DVD library and DVD players in each room for guests. The home is equipped with a purified water system, and we also offer bottled water in each guest room. We also offer a mini-bar off the rear terrazza, filled with refreshments for our guests. Come visit us in historic Guadalajara, Mexico!
