Casa de los Amigos Vacation Rental is on the beautiful Caribbean island of Isla Mujeres (Island of Women). Isla Mujeres, just 5 miles long and 1/2 a mile wide at its widest point, is east of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. It's about 8 miles across the bay, but you can still see the Yucatan peninsula and Cancun from here.

Isla Mujeres is a lot quieter and laid-back than Cancun,and it's the perfect place for a short vacation, or for an extended stay. You'll enjoy relaxing on our white snad beaches, snorkeling in the clear aqua blue waters, or just sleeping in a hammock under a palm tree.

Dine on wonderful meals, take a stroll down the island's the moonlit streets while breathing in the Caribbean air. Or take in our abundant nightlife and dance 'til dawn.

Casa de los Amigos is on the edge of a traditional island neighborhood called La Gloria, across the street from the turquoise blue Caribbean. We offer a private retreat away from big hotels, where you can enjoy privacy and still be just a short ride from of downtown's nightlife.

Our rooftop terrace and front patio give you the perfect spots to view amazing sunrises over a cup of coffee. Or enjoy an evening cocktail and feel the fresh sea breezes, watching the sky turn pink and purple from the sunset.

Decorated in warm tropical colors - orange and yellow - the cabana has an open plan, with a living room and sleeping area, a dining room and kitchen, and a bathroom. The cabana's decorated in a Mexican motif - live like a local. You can use the fully-equipped kitchen to cook like the locals too, or you can eat at one of many local restaurants that are within walking distance of your Caribbean island home.

We're just a few blocks from both bus and taxi service, very accessible to the entire island. The beach across the road is a great for walking, beachcombing and often for swimming/snorkeling.

You don't need a car here - public transportation is only two blocks away. Downtown and one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean are nearby, and North Beach, with tranquil blue water and white sands, will bring you back often. From downtown, North Beach, fine restaurants, a variety of colorful shops and an active nightlife are all an easy walk.

Ferry service to the island is offered from Gran Puerto Cancun and Puerto Juarez located 15 minutes north of Cancun. A car ferry is also available from Punta Sam, another five miles up the coast. But a car is not a necessity on this five mile long island.
