Casa de Koshare Bed and Breakfast features traditional territorial architecture accented with tromb walls, vigas, latillas, exposed adobe, skylights, banco style seating, brick floors and the ever-present Indian bread oven (called an horno) for bread baking.

The Bed and Breakfast takes its name from the Sacred Clowns of the Pueblo Indians. The "Koshare" are said to be the Tradition Keepers and the Delight Makers. They paint their bodies with black and white stripes. Their purpose varies with different Pueblos. But, the central theme throughout is to teach the traditions of the Pueblo and to show non-conformist behavior through comic object lessons. You will see our Koshare "Chee" throughout our website. The name Chee comes from a character in one of Tony Hillerman novels called Sacred Clowns.

Casa de Koshare Bed and Breakfast would like to become your gateway to New Mexico and the Southwestern United States. We are located only 19 miles north of the Albuquerque airport in the quaint Village of Corrales. After a long day traveling why not have, at least, your first night in New Mexico be with us? The next morning after a full breakfast you will be ready to enjoy all the wonders of New Mexico. Corrales is bordered by Albuquerque to the South, Rio Rancho to the West, Bernalillo to the East and Santa Fe 40 miles to the North. Hikers, golfers and bicycle riders will enjoy many of the trails and courses in the area. While gamblers have easy access to many casinos, motorcycle riders can enjoy the scenic panorama associated with the Land of Enchantment while on one of many adventurous day trips.
