Captain Farris House Bed & Breakfast was originally built in 1845 by a rich Sea Captain. We've completely restored and renovated the Greek Revival style house, respecting its history and adding elegance and modern sophistication to the property.

We offer 10 guest rooms, each with a private ensuite bathroom and jacuzzi, cable television and VCR (video library for guest use on-site), bath robes and fluffy towels, telephone with data port, and hair drier. Each room also has a private entrance. Guest rooms are furnished with fine antiques and beautiful window treatments.

Rooms also include a/c and heat controls, fresh flowers, popcorn, soft drinks, and chocolates. Some rooms also have fireplaces or sun decks - please inquire when bookng.

If you need to stay in touch with the folks back home, we also have wifi internet access on site, and a laptop available for guest use.

Each morning, we'll serve you a full 3 course breakfast at a romantic table for two in our beautiful dining room, with its Waterford chandelier. In seasn, we also serve breakfast in our lovely glass greenhouse courtyard. Everything is fresh and seasonal, and we also offer fresh-baked cookies and other treats in the afternoon, as well as complimentary cordials and hot teas.

There are so many things to do here on Cape Cod - walk or bike along the Bass River. Marvel at the quaint Cape Cod river homes as you stroll to the lovely Windmill Park or the warm ocean water beaches of Nantucket Sound - we have beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels for you to take for your day at the beach. There are also many great places to eat, boutique shopping, antique stores, and golfing nearby.

In the evenings, come back to the inn and relax in our parlor with a complimentary glass of sherry, and listen to classical music and meet our other guests from around the world.

Our home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is perfectly situated in the middle of Cape Cod in South Yarmouth on the Bass River. We're just an hour and a half from both Boston and Providence by car, and just fifteen minutes from the ferry and airport. Coffee, tea & baked goods and complimentary Sherry always available.
