Step back in time to a bygone era at the Captain David Kelley House in Centreville, Massachusetts - in a charming Greek Revival home originally built in 1835 by Sea Captain David N. Kelley, later owned by another well-known Centerville citizen, Captain John Baker, Skipper of the "Pride of the Port."
Our two first-floor guestrooms are named in honor of these men, and the living-dining room is named for Captain Kelley's wife, Abigail. Each of the remaining guest rooms is named after their children.
We finished a detailed historic restoration in 2004, bringing the Captain David Kelley House back to its original splendor. We employed craftsmen and decorators to install crown moldings, historic wallpaper, antique oriental carpets, nautical art and many beautiful antiques.
Our restoration blended the inn's historic charm with today's comforts.
Kick off your shoes and dig your toes into the warm Atlantic sand. Come be our guest at the Captain David Kelley House, located on Main Street in the heart of the quaint Cape Cod seaside village of Centerville. You can relax in our sunny, well-manicured yard and gardens or take a relaxing stroll down historic Main Street, where you can find more historic sea captains' homes. You'll also find the South Congregational Church, built in 1717, The 1856 Country Store, the Centerville Historic Museum and the Centerville Public Library. Four Seas Ice Cream, featured on PBS, is right around the corner and beautiful Craigville Beach is just a 1/2 mile down the street.
