Enter St. John's Butternut B&B, and return to another time in our elegant historic mansion, originally built in 1904, and then fully restored, complete with the original heavy plaster moldings and elegant stained glass and beveled windows.

Butternut Bed & Breakfast is a Queen Anne Revival home, built just north of the intersection of Rennie's Mill Rd and Monkstown Rd in the heart of St. John's. The outside of our Newfoundland bed and breakfast is clad in shingles and clapboards, with amazing details, similar to other local homes designated by the Heritage Foundation.

You'll sleep well in our quiet, thick-walled rooms, which feature upgraded mattresses, variable lighting, black-out curtains, and original decorative fireplaces.

We offer two spacious guest suites, each with a jacuzzi tub, king-sized bed, cable TV, and mini refrigerator. We can also provide other accommodations, including luxurious rental homes, apartment rentals, and hostal accommodations.

We serve a full breakfast each morning during the tourist season, or you can use our kitchen facilities to preopare your own meals. Just let us know what you want to do.
