The Brewmaster's House is a landmark bed-and-breakfast inn located in the first neighborhood just south of downtown Columbus, German Village. Columbus is one of the top 10 U.S. cities for gay living, and German Village-the bastion of traditional gay culture-is also the city's top tourist destination. Unique architecture, narrow brick streets, three major parks, the riverside hike/bike trail, half of the best restaurants in town, and a number of antiques shops are all an easy walk, as are five gay bars. Other clusters of gay bars in downtown and Short North are a short drive away (5 and 7 minutes respectively). And all are easy to find along High Street.The grand 1909 house, lived in unchanged for 90 years by the builder's family, retains original fireplaces, woodwork, chandeliers, and flooring which were all well-maintained over the years by live-in servants.
