The Blue Door Guest House opened in the Fall of 2005 in the heart of St. John's - close to ity Hall, The Rooms Museum, Cabot Tower, and much more. We're across from the Fairmont Newfoundland Hotel, and an easy walk to Heritage Water Street - where you'll find historic charm and some great boutiques and places to eat - spend an afternoon wandering through the city.

You can also visit our Harbourfront - watch the cruise ships and Tall Ships sail in and out of the harbor. Or top into our many local galleries and find something special to take home with you to remember your vacation by.

Built in 1916, our charming Queen Anne home is filled with reminders of yesteryear. You can relax in the common area - snuggle up with a good book and enjoy our cozy fireplace and the ambiance of quiet music.

We also invite guests to enjoy our garden patio - the perfect place for afternoon tea.

Each of our guest suites is painted in colors representative of the wonderful colors of St. John's.

The St. John's Room has a queen sleigh bed, and looks over the Fairmont Hotel.

The Torbay has a four poster queen bed, and looks over Gower Street.

Our rooms are large and comfortable, and each has a down comforter, ceiling fan, cable television, phone, and wifi internet access (adapter available).

We offer free parking for guests, and serve a gourmet hot breakfast and afternoon tea to our extended stay guests. Guest rooms at Blue Door Guest House are non-smoking.
