VASHON ISLAND VACATION RENTAL HOME AT FERN COVE
Coming to Washington State's beautiful Vashon Island in the Puget Sound? Stay at The Belle Baldwin House, a beautiful vacation rental home that once belonged to Edward Loomis Smith, a well-known doctor practicing in the Washington Territory and the State of Washington from 1870 to his death in 1893. Dr. Smith's daughter, Belle Baldwin, became the state's first female physician in 1912, and is an important figure in women's history in the United States.
Our Vashon Island vacation rental is a State Historic Landmark, and may be the only known intact example of the residential work of Harlan Thomas, a renowned architect whose buildings are distinguished Seattle landmarks.
The Belle Baldwin House is run by the Vashon Park District, and our 'green' restoration process has returned the house to its 1912 glory, creating a relaxing, natural environment that honors the park and the past. All of this is located on 750 feet of pristine Puget Sound beach - your own romantic waterfront getaway.
Come stay with us o Vashon Island - it doesn't get any better than this!
