John & Lisa welcome you to Bacchus Inn, a beautiful sea-side B&B in Cape May's historic district. We're close to boutique stores, great dining, and the beach.

Bacchus Inn B&B has two buildings - our cottage and our main house - for a total of thirteen guest rooms. Each of our guest rooms offers in-room a/c and heat, a queen-sized or king-sized bed, and a private bathroom. Some rooms have fireplaces and televisions - please ask when you book your reservation.

We serve guests a full breakfast each morning, and have coffee brewing early in the morning, as well as an afternoon wine and cheese service.

Most rooms also have on-site parking, and bicycles for guest use. We also offer beach chairs and towels for guest use. We also offer wifi internet access to help you keep in touch with friends, family, and work back home.

Bacchus Inn is named after the Roman god of wine, the son of Jupiter who taught man how to cultivate grapevines and how to create wine. Bacchus represents not just wine, but wine's social and beneficial influences. We've carried the wine theme throughout our Victorian inn. Relax with a glass of wine in our Victorian parlor or on our porch, or play a game of billiards with your partner or another guest.

The "Main House" was originally built in 1872 by a local developer as a summer cottage for a prominent Philadelphia milliner. The house retains its historic charm, with a grand dining room and a Victorian parlor. The main house also has an enclosed porch where you can relax in warm or cool weather. There's also a wide, open porch, where you can relax in a rocking chair.

The main house has nine guestrooms, filled with period antiques and modern amenities, each named for a different wine region, including Bordeaux and Tuscany.

The "Cottage" was originally built in 1878, and has two porches on the ground floor - a front porch with rocking chairs and a side porch with three small cafe tables. There's also a sun deck on the 3rd floor.

The cottae has four guest rooms, each named after a different wine, including Chardonnay and Zinfandel.
