" FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA BED & BREAKFAST FOR OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS "
Log frame couches and leather sofas and chairs offer comfortable but casual seating. Wireless Internet available throughout the lodge. The dining room has a two story vaulted ceiling and is furnished with log and pine tables and chairs. We used reclaimed lumber in the floors, ceiling, railings, decking and various beams and posts. We serve a complimentary full breakfast in our dining room every day that includes an entree item, our own homemade granola, breakfast breads, fresh fruit, juices, fresh roasted and ground coffee, a selection of teas, cocoa and hot cider. Our jetted hot tub is nestled in the trees and has to be one of the most relaxing (and romantic!) spas you’ll find in Flagstaff! At the end of the first floor hallway there’s a cozy and hot cedar lined European sauna. The best amenity of all is our proximity to acres of national forest lands and convenient distance from downtown Flagstaff with it’s almost constant train noise. If you hike or bike early in the morning the chances of seeing deer or elk are pretty good. We know Flagstaff and can send you on the proper journey, the good restaurants, the places you should go. There’s a lot more to see in the Flagstaff area than the Grand Canyon. This is one of the best areas in the country to visit ancient Native American ruins. Wupatki National Monument is just a 30 minute drive from the Arizona Sled Dog Inn. Along the way you can stop and see Elden Pueblo, an ongoing archaeological site, and Sunset Crater National Monument, a fascinating geological site. Walnut Canyon National Monument is ten miles from downtown Flagstaff and offers a nice hike to local cliff dwellings. Jerome, an historic mining town, is an easy hour drive from Flagstaff. On the way you can pass through Sedona, stop at Tuzigoot National Monument and visit Dead Horse State Park. To the east is Meteor Crater, the Homolovi ruins just outside Winslow, and further on, Petrified Forest National Monument. Key Hole sink is a nice easy hike to ancient petroglyphs. Turkey Tanks is an undeveloped site of ancient ruins just a few yards off the Leupp road - yet almost no one but locals go there. When water’s flowing in the Little Colorado you’ve got to go see Grand Falls, an adventure drive down dirt roads. An ice cave near Williams and the Lava Tube cave north of Flagstaff are a few other lesser known sites to see if you like getting away from the standard tourist spots. Come visit us in the beautiful Flagstaff/Sedona area!
