The house is owned and managed by myself (Robin!) and my partner Colin. Colin has a 'proper' job, or so he likes to think! I, on the other hand, will be here to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! From greeting you on arrival, helping you with useful advice on getting around and the best things to do and see whilst here, to serving (and cooking!) breakfast!

Ardmor House is situated in a quiet spot right in the city centre and very close to all of the gay life in the city - bars, pubs, clubs and cafes are within 7 - 10 minutes walking distance - and it seems even less on the way home from the pub!

There are eight things you have to do while you are here:

1. Take a walk up Calton Hill - best view of the city!
2. Have lunch at Harvey Nicols 4th Floor brasserie.
3. Dinner at Fisher’s in Leith - best fish in Edinburgh.
4. Take a walk along the Water of Leith, and stop off at the Botanic Gardens, Dean Village and the Gallery of Modern Art and the Dean Gallery.
5. Stop at Plaisir Du Chocolat on the Royal Mile
6. Visit in August for the biggest arts festival in the world.
7. Take some great food home - try Crombies for haggis, and Valvona and Crolla (top of Leith Walk) for Italian
8. Take a city bus tour (leaving from Waverley Bridge) to get a flavour of the city

Edinburgh gay life centers round the Broughton Street area and most places around here, if not gay, are certainly gay friendly. There are a number of gay venues nearby, including:
