A fully renovated 19th century farmhouse, the Arbors provides a relaxing home base from which to explore the hidden treasures nestled amid the picturesque hills and rivers of Pittsburgh. Several "Victorian" historic districts are located nearby, and all major urban attractions are just minutes away by car or taxi. Restaurants, shopping, theaters, and entertainment in the center city are within walking distance of each other. Our popular host, Jim, will provide expert advice on what's happening and how to get there.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast from the fireside buffet in the large dining room or garden. Unwind in the spacious hot tub with its own climate-controlled sunroom.

We offer daily, weekly, and weekend rates, or "Rent the Farm" packages for small functions or special events. Our business guests enjoy the amenities of a hotel with the more private and personal touch of a vacation guesthouse.

The Arbors Bed & Breakfast has been fully renovated and has all the modern conveniences, including central air conditioning.  The 30-foot "Four Seasons" sunroom has in-floor radiant heat, a hot tub and an adjacent deck.  On the second floor, the suite and two guest rooms each offer views of the treetops and grounds and include:

Private bath with shower, king-sized bed, cable TV, VCR, phone, refrigerator, coffee maker,  iron, hair dryer, and full-length mirror.  In addition to central climate control, all rooms have paddle fans and operable  windows with screens to permit a range of temperatures and fresh air if desired.

Breakfast is served 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. on weekdays, and 7 a.m. to noon on weekends. The selection is varied each day to enrich your experience as our guest.  

Arbors can accommodate small groups for parties, business meetings, or retreats.  The dining room can be set up for twelve around one table if desired for meetings or dining.  More may be accommodated utilizing the parlor, sunroom, outdoor deck, and the nearly two acres of grounds.  Arrangements can also be made for food for these functions.

This former home of a civil war lieutenant in its woodland setting offers a quiet retreat for business or pleasure. On the property, many varieties of native songbirds as well as squirrels and the occasional rabbit, deer, turkey, hawk, or falcon add to the country ambience.
