Alle Guglie B&B is a charming Venetian bed and breakfast in the Cannaregio district, convenient to the train station (just a five minute walk). Cannaregio is in the "real Venice", away from the tourist traps, where you'll find wide boulevards, great Italian bars and cafes, and a taste of Venetian day-to-day life.
It's also a great place to use as a base to explore all that Venice offers - in fifteen minutes, you'll be at St. Mark's Square, and you're even closer to the famous Rialto Bridge,
We're also just a short walk from the ancient Jewish Ghetto, and literally steps from the Cannaregio stop on the canals, where you can catch a boat to to the islands of Murano (known for the world-famous glass makers), Burano, and Torcello.
Alle Guglie is an apartment on the top floor of a sixteenth-century building, off a private courtyard away from the main street. We only offer one guest room, so you'll have a lot of privacy and the total attention of your host, Antonio.
The guestroom is large and sunny, and has its own balcony, a/c, TV, radio, and dedicated bathroom.
Antonio provides fresh bread, marmelade, orange juice, yogurt, brioches, cereal, and eveything else you need for a great breakfast to get you started in the morning. In good weather, you can enjoy breakfast on the balcony overlooking the ancient courtyard; in the winter, he serves breakfast in the kitchen.
Your stay includes pick-up at the nearest boat stop, continental breakfast each morning, bedding and towels, and anything else you need to make your visit perfect.
Antonio knows the city inside and out, and can direct you to great restaurants, activities, and museums around the city. He can also point you to the best gay cafes and bars.
