Our Anchorage Hillside bed and breakfast is only minutes from the airport, downtown Anchorage, major hotels, and other attractions. From our "leopard's perch" we have spectacular views of the Anchorage bowl and the Cook Inlet, Mt. Denali, the Kenai Peninsula, and the volcanoes of the Alaskan Range.
Our breakfasts are now world-famous. A full menu of eleven entrees, eight side dishes, assorted juices, cereals, and pastries, all from wonderful family recipes, await your personal choice. We serve on the deck, or in the dining room. In the evening, homemade desserts and other goodies, along with coffee and tea, are served to compliment your accommodations. What a great way to end a day of sightseeing and adventure. A real Alaskan adventure in true hospitality.
Three garden steps lead you to your private, 24-hour, garden entrance. All guest accommodations are located on the lower level adjacent to the new Guest Lounge (pictured above). Our Guest Lounge features comfortable seating, a beverage bar, and an entertainment center with satellite TV, VCR, and stereo. Our communication center features a fully loaded PC with Internet and printer and is supplied with complimentary office supplies. A fax machine is available as well. A substantial movie library is kept current and well stocked, and is available for quiet evenings after long days of sightseeing. French doors open onto our new 1200-foot lower deck featuring comfortable deck seating. Our hot tub/whirlpool spa is located on the upper garden terrace with great views while soaking away the cares of the day. From our lower deck, stairs lead up to the 800-foot upper deck or down to our current project (completion Spring 2003)--formal gardens with waterfalls, babbling brook and fishpond. A gravel path will wind through raised flowerbeds and seasonal plantings, a rose garden, and loads of Alaskan wildflowers.
The upper level of the inn (photos are on our home page) features our formal inside dining room with stone fireplace and walkout onto our 800-foot upper deck that offers spectacular views and summer bistro seating. For a fantastic breakfast treat, enjoy outside dining with Mt. McKinley and the Alaska Range as your dining companions. For those guests who may have trouble negotiating stairs, we are pleased to accommodate their need and will be happy to set up breakfast on the ground level.
A fully stocked gift shop offers special pricing well below local retail on hand carved and handmade Alaskan art and jewelry. Choose from a special selection of jade, marble, golden crystal, bone, and hematite. Handmade Alaskan Christmas ornaments and Caribou antler art add additional interest to our selections.

POLICIES
Deposit:
We require that your first night be paid in advance and we accept Master Card, Visa, American Express, Discover, Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, and Personal Checks....and, oh yes...Cash!
Cancellation:
We accept cancellations up to one week (seven days) prior to your arrival date and will refund your deposit (less 20%) if properly contacted. If we are not contacted, then we respectfully will absorb your deposit and cancel your reservation. Contact is best made by email or telephone call. Please offer us the courtesy of a call if your plans should change. We are very accommodating and will work with you. Our "No Show" policy is simple. If you do not show, we will automatically charge your credit card for all unpaid nights. Should we re-let the room in your absence, you will receive a refund of those charges.
Check-In:
Check in time is daily at 5:00 PM, however, we recognize that tours and plane arrivals are seldom on time, so we cannot always expect our guests to be on time either. We will do our best to accommodate you whether you are early or late. If you are early and your room isn't ready, then feel free to relax in our common areas until it is. Your reservation will indicate the time you are expected. All we ask is that you let us know if that will change by more than a few hours.
Check-Out:
Check out time is 11:00 AM from our guest rooms, but you are welcome to hang around the chalet if you need to "chill". All we ask is that you vacate the room so that we can get it ready for our next guest.
