Just stand and marvel at the outstanding views of the Knik Glacier, Pioneer Peak, and the Chugach Talkeetna mountain ranges from Alaska Garden Gate B&B. Set on 10 secluded acres between Palmer and Wasilla, it's just a half-hour north of Anchorage, 2 minutes from the Parks Highway–Glenn Highway junction, 20 minutes to Hatcher Pass, and 3 1/2 hours to Denali.

Our quiet Bed & Breakfast offers guest apartments and generous private rooms and baths, private whirlpool tubs, and porcelain woodstoves. Our gardens show off the lush blooms produced by summer’s Midnight Sun.

Forest Haven: With the look and feel of a northwoods cabin, this is a guest apartment with King bed, kitchen, living/dining, private bath and private entrance. Also 2-person whirlpool tub, porcelain woodstove, picture windows to forest and mountains.

Forget Me Not: A graceful and airy room with 2-person whirlpool tub, Queen bed plus Queen sleeper sofa. Private bath. Micro/coffee in room. Bay windows seats look to gardens and woods.

Midnight Sun Gardens: Convenient guest apartment offers kitchen, dining/living, private bath, separate entrance. Queen + dbl futon.
Arctic Rose is softly romantic, overlooking the rose gardens. Full bed, whirlpool tub, private bath.

Blossoms & Berries is bright and cozy, with a full bed and shared bath. Children ok; most pets ok with prior approval. Phone/Data ports and TV/DVD/VCR in some rooms. Several rooms handicap-friendly.

Hatcher Pass Guests consistently say this is one of the most beautiful places they've ever seen, worldwide. The spectacular scenery, lush, green 5000-8000 foot mountains, are a compact mountain ecosystem that give you that away-from-it-all feeling during your 10-mile drive through the pass. It is located just 15 minutes from Alaska Garden Gate B&B.

Talkeetna a small town up towards Denali (Mt. McKinley). Well-known as the hippy, funky, eccentric town that the TV show "Northern Exposure" was based on, it really is like that. Honest.

The Matanuska Glacier is east of Palmer 45 minutes. The drive is full of panoramic vistas as you wind along the Matanuska River. You can see and touch the blue ice, as well as walk onto it for miles.
