Hilda and Pieter Retief converted the home to a bed and breakfast in 1994, and are your hosts at this Victorian retreat. You'll be warmly welcomed into their home and treated to real South African hospitality in this Oudtshoorn B&B.

Enjoy Hilda's fresh-baked Vetkoek (bread) every morning with breakfast. We can also barbeque or prepare a full four course meal in the evenings, upon request - ever tried an ostrich steak?

Our 5,000 sq meter property features two swimming pools for guest use, where you can cool off on a warm South African summer day. We also have romantic log fires in the wintertime. Or wander through our evergreen gardens and park.

Adley House offers 14 large ensuite guest rooms, each uniquely decorated, with a/c, television, refrigerator (stocked), tea and coffee, ceiling fan, telephone, and an electric blanket for chilly winter nights. We also offer daily laundry service, perfect for longer stays.
