SPANISH HACIENDA IN TUCSON, ARIZONA "
We're also just twenty five minutes from downtown Tucson and the University of Arizona. Set on sixteen private acres, our hacienda surrounds an interior courtyard, filled with lush desert plants. Enjoy one of our warm summer evenings with a delicious drink under our mesquite trees, or wander along our own private nature trail and learn about the Sonoran Desert. Relax by desert ponds or on a chaise lounge on one of our porches, or soak away your cares in our hot tub. Each of our one or two bedroom suites has at least two beds, and is furnished with Mexican folk art, paintings and antiques. Three of our guest rooms also have kitchenettes, so you can cook at home if you don't want to go out for dinner every night. There's also a two room Casita for extra privacy. Our rooms also feature private bathrooms and entrances, as well as televisions, VCR's, and DVD players, and some rooms also have cable TV. We also have a business center with high speed internet access so you can keep in touch with work or family and friends. We can provide Nneuromuscular and aromatherapy massage upon request. There are so many things to do in Tucson. Explore our famous sites, including the beautiful (and never finished) San Xavier del Bac Mission and the Pima Air & Space Museum. Hike into Sabino Canyon for a great afternoon by the falls. Check out our great museums and installations, like the International Wildlife Museum, Biosphere 2 (where scientists study closed ecosystems for future space travel), Kitt Peak Observatory, and Tohona Chul Park, where you can find out more about our beautiful deserts. Out on the west side of town, you'll find Old Tucson Studios, an old west amusement park, Saguaro National Park West (yes there are two), and the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, one of the finest Desert Zoos in the world. For a day trip, explore our border town - Nogales, Mexico. Or see what the Old West was really like in Tombstone. If you enjoy birding, there's great birdwatching here on the property, and nearby in Ramsey Canyon, Madera Canyon, Patagonia, and the Chiricahua Mountains. There are also many great hiking trails nearby. Your hosts, David and Rosemary, are Tucson natives with great knowledge of the Sonoran Desert plants and wildlife, and would love to share this information with you during your stay. And David has a "bottomless box" of suggestions and brochures to help you find all the great things there are to do in the Greater Tucson area. Come stay with them at Hacienda del Desierto B&B, and experience true relaxation.
